Cybersecurity Firm Securing Children’s Futures – Taking Time to Say Thanks

May 15, 2015  Exton, Pennsylvania – Members of Layer 8 Security attended the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundations’s Philadelphia Celebratory Ball on April 17, 2015 at the Hilton Philadelphia at Penn’s Landing.

The Scholarship Foundation provides higher education financial assistance for the children of U.S. Marines killed in action.  Colonel Jeffrey Lipson, Executive Director of Layer 8 Security remarks, “Taking time out from our day-to-day routine to attend events like the MCSF Celebratory Ball gives us the opportunity to say thanks to our military service members and their families, and to further support our community.”

Attendee enjoyed performances from the United States Marine Drum & Bugle Corps and remarks from the Military Guest of Honor, General John F. Kelly USMC.  Honorees included distinguished business leaders: John C. Heenan, Founder and CEO of Fairlane Management Corporation, for the Commandant’s Award and John D. Craig, Chairman and CEO of EnerSys, for the Semper Fidelis Award.

Layer 8 Security focuses on the effective management of cybersecurity at the human layer where business processes and technology intersect through various services, such as information risk auditing, penetration testing, and more.  They have extensive experience and training from operations serving in the National Security Agency, U.S. Cyber Command, Department of Defense, Special Operations, and Defense and Private Industries.  Layer 8 Security members have served at home and abroad, and many still serve today as Reserve members or contracts.
