Spotlight on 2024 Summer Interns

Spotlight on the Summer Interns: Layer 8 Security added a few friendly faces to our office with summer interns! Each of them brings creativity and passion to our team, and we’re excited for you to get to know them better.

 

Jake Parisi
Technical Security Intern
Jake studies Computer Science at Penn State University. He is a member of the Competitive Cybersecurity Student Organization and Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity. “As a computer science major, I originally got into cybersecurity because I was interested in exploring a technical field that didn’t involve intensive coding.” Jake is interested in learning more about reverse-engineering malware. His ultimate goal is to combine his CS skills with the practical knowledge learned from Layer 8 Security to write secure code that is less susceptible to vulnerabilities in the cyber world.
Fun Fact: Jake has a Maltese-Poodle named Toby.

Siena Lipson
Business Analyst Intern
Siena studies Business and Entertainment at American University and is an active member of Phi Mu sorority. She views cybersecurity as a crucial defense mechanism for many individuals and organizations. As a Business and Entertainment major, Siena is looking forward to observing how Layer 8 Security interacts with other companies and gaining more knowledge on the business side of this learning experience.
Fun Fact: Siena enjoys horseback riding.

Zev Gabriel
Technical Security Intern
Zev studies Cybersecurity Analytics and Operations at Penn State University. “What interests me most about cybersecurity is the constant evolution of the field. Nothing in cybersecurity every stays the same, and you have to always be learning to stay on top of things.” Zev is passionate about penetration testing and incident response but is open to learn about different aspects of this field throughout college.
Fun Fact: Zev spent one month living and working in Yellowstone National Park as a part of the Youth Conservation Corps last summer.
